Name: Aaron Baker

Title: Vice President, Axiom Strategies & Clout Public Affairs

Location: Kansas City, MO

Bio: I serve as a Vice President for Axiom Strategies and Clout Public Affairs. I work to help corporations deal with their neighbors, customers and competitors. I’ve worked on campaigns and in politics since 2002, working on everything from campaign and organization management, to grasstops outreach, lobbying, and public affairs. Before I came to Axiom, I worked in the office of United States Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) and previously worked in the Missouri Senate. When I’m not helping campaigns and corporations reach their fullest potential, I spend time with my wife and four kids on our farm and lead our local 4-H Club.

What you do at Axiom/how you serve our clients: I help candidates and corporations show folks that they’re good neighbors that can help move the local community forward. Our team works on every form of direct voter contact for elections of all types and sizes. On the corporate side, we’re lobbying, advertising and communicating the strengths of the companies and causes we support.

What trends do you expect to see in the 2020 election: Voters are looking for candidates with a story, not just an ideology. It’s our job to help candidates tell that story in a way that sticks with voters all the way to the ballot box.

What lessons have you learned from previous campaign cycles: Last cycle, I worked with 109 clients that had a signed agreement with Axiom Strategies. I enjoyed working on that type of volume. We have learned to save time and money, to help put more resources towards direct voter contact during the last month of the campaign.
