EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Name: Eva Mah

Title: Senior Media Buyer

Location: Dallas, TX

Bio: I am a first-generation American, born and raised in Texas. I grew up in a Chinese family culture with a Texas flair – think Chinese dinners with a side of Whataburger! I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Advertising and have been in the media buying industry for 15 years. I’ve worked on various retail clients such as Pepsi, Pizza Hut, MoneyGram, Dave & Buster’s, and transitioned to political media buying in 2016.  I’m married and have a son, Charlie, and two dogs.

What you do at Axiom/how you serve our clients: As a Senior Media Buyer with AxMedia, I spend most days fielding media costing requests from campaigns. I analyze the target and campaign goals to build a potential media schedule and make the best recommendation based on all the information available.  I like to arm our clients with as much information as possible about the media plan.  I also create and maintain a dialogue with all stations on which the campaigns are advertising throughout the election to ensure they get the best service from beginning to end.  In addition, I always like to keep my finger on the pulse of the ever-changing media industry, and I work hard to understand new buying opportunities that are available to the campaigns.

What trends do you expect to see in the 2020 election?  With the rise of “cord-cutters” – households that are moving from cable subscriptions to digital streaming services – more campaigns will incorporate OTT and digital audio into the media plans as media viewership and listenership becomes more fragmented in this space.  It will be important to recognize broadcast/cable will need to be bought together with OTT/digital audio for a holistic media plan approach.

Why Axiom?  If you want to be the best, you work with the best. No one at Axiom settles for mediocre.  We exude passion and grit, and the work shows that.
