EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Name: Isabella Armstrong

Title: Fundraising Associate, High Cotton Consulting

Location: Washington, DC

Bio: I was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. I graduated from the University of Mississippi almost 3 years ago and moved to D.C. shortly after. The majority of my family lives in the south, and I won’t be convinced that it isn’t the best place in the world or that the SEC isn’t the best college football conference in the nation.

What you do at Axiom/how you serve our clients: I work in close consultation with Members of Congress and their offices to plan and coordinate all of their DC fundraisers, ranging from small coffees to national PAC trips. Day to day I track event pledges, staff our clients’ events, follow up on donor outreach and micromanage our staff calendar and operations. My end goal is to utilize the time allotted to us per quarter to maximize our clients’ fundraising potential.

Fun Fact: The only thing I wanted for my 18th birthday was to go skydiving. While my dad, brother and I had an incredible time, I don’t think I could ever do it again!

How you got your start in politics: In the 2000 Presidential Election, I “voted” for George W. Bush on a paper ballot outside of the cafeteria in my elementary school. My dad, a staunch Republican, has always been quick to discuss politics with anyone who will engage. I bought into the GOP at a young age thanks to him. Fast forward to the summer of 2016, I interned for Congressman Trey Gowdy and enjoyed my experience so I much that I decided to move back to DC after college graduation to find a job in politics.
