Name: Tom Goodson
Title: Director of Data and Operations, Vanguard Field Strategies
Location: Houston, TX
Bio: I started working in local politics at 17, eventually becoming a Field Representative for House Majority Leader Tom DeLay’s congressional campaign. I went on to manage the field efforts of a number PACs, Committees, and members of Congress. After a hiatus from politics, I returned to campaigning and joined a consulting firm in which I oversaw field efforts in campaigns ranging from County Judge to Governor. I am married to my wife Jessica, and we live in Houston with our two dogs Winston and Walter. Geaux Tigers!
What you do at Axiom/how you serve our clients: I manage the day to day operations for Vanguard’s projects, as well as the data. I work with GCs and campaigns to form and execute a field strategy that will deliver the best results for their clients.
Fun Fact: I have officiated a wedding.
Your favorite political figure (past or present) & why: John Quincy Adams — the ability to swallow your pride and serve 9 terms as a congressman after you have been President is something we virtually don’t see in politics today.
